Let it Ride poker involves playing against the dealer rather than each other. The ultimate goal is to have the highest hand at the end of the game, while still having the maximum bet on the table. Each player ends up with five cards should they choose to play out the hand.
Basic rules
Game play starts with each player making an equal bet. Next, all the players and the dealer are dealt three cards each. The dealer cards remain face down in the middle of the table. Players then choose whether to withdraw their bet or “let it ride” by continuing to play. The first community card is discarded and the second turned over. Players then make the same decision again. The dealer displays the final community card and the game ends.
Developing a strategy
The best hand and payout come with a royal flush. If your first three cards are part of a royal flush, let it ride. A pair of tens or a three-card straight flush also mean you should let it ride.
